I've lived here in crazy south Florida for too long. Am ready to get out. You can ride 12 months a year here, but I don't recommend moving here. Florida is good for winter vacations and road trips, and has good restaurants, cafes, nightclubs, swimming, boating, fishing, and diving, but it's flat, and has high heat and humidity, the most lightning in the world, monsoon rains and floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, massive destruction and losses, mold, mosquitoes, roaches, transients, drunks, druggers, punks, thugs, heavy traffic, road rage, reckless drivers, crooks, con artists, illegal aliens, non-English speakers, low-pay (unless you're a business owner, doctor, lawyer, drug dealer, exotic dancer, or pimp), and high costs of living. Better to stay in or near your home area, family members, old friends, familiar landmarks, and history. You can always party for a few weeks in Florida, the Caribbean, Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica, or Panama in the winter.
