Hey fellow riders,
Wonder if anybody had any experience on changing a headlight bulb on a 03 Heritage? Is it a H4 bulb or something else? Any input would be helpful. THANKS DAVE.
If it is standard HD issue, it is likely a 55/65 watt H4 Halogen, very straight forward replacement. The most important thing is not to touch the bulb glass with your fingers when you're changing it, the oil creates hot spots on the glass and shortens the bulb's life. If you do leave a print on the bulb, make sure that you clean it good before you reinstall in in the HL reflector.
There are many aftermarket bulbs that work better than the standard issue, you might want to try a Sylvania Silverstar or the like.
