Go to jpcycles.com do a search for cruz tool kits.......They are pretty good kits, they have a little of everything you might need on the road...........And a better deal than the HD kits
I got a toolkit from Windzone for Christmas last year which contains just about everything you'll need including electrical tape, and hand wipes. It's not as good as what I have in the garage, but then who wants to travel with all that anyway? If it is a major breakdown, carry a cell phone. Tool kits are for those smaller roadside repairs anyway.
I bought a "Champion" tool set at sears in a zip up pouch. Its made in China I suppose, the chrome is peeling off already. But it has allmost everything you need. Tire gauge, sockets, rachet, extensions, torx, allen, screwdriver, pliers, small flashlight, tape, and I added additional torx, allens to make sure I had everything. 6x8x2 and a lot of peace of mind. Flat tire I call for help, I am not about to try to patch a tube on my bike in the boonies.
Figure the sizes that you need, go to the local pawn shop and get quality tools for about .20 on the 1.00. Make or buy a pouch to put them and you are good to go.
