So you don't have a motorcycle, and you joined a Harley forum so you could put down the bikes of those who do? Sadly, you'll fit in with many here.
I like to call it being between motorcycles. I joined a Harley forum to learn and make the best choice I can when the purchase time comes. I wasn't putting down any bike in particular, just talking like I would to a buddy about things I didn't care for on a bike. To me, drag bars are the best looking bars, I don't care for what a sissy bar does to a bikes profile, I think spoked wheels look better than mags, I wouldn't choose a purple bike, etc... But so what??? I've seen on here people bashing Road Glides, calling V- rods vagina rods, knocking Sportys, whatever, i will most likely buy a Fat Bob, somebody will not like it and tell me it's not a real Harley , I should have gotten a '47 ******** or something. You know what, I won't get all bent over it.
Just saw this on another thread ... thought it applied here, equally ....
... don't understand why everyone thinks you have a pink
suit (or some affinity for pink
fuzzy stuff) ... my take is you
found a goofy 'haters gonna
hate' image on the web and
posted it as your avatar ... (I
suppose that could actually be a photo of you
wearing a pink suit ... care to
clue us in ...?)
Thanks dude.
Got some similar dislikes ... what it boils down to for me is how high is "too high" (apes) ...? how many are "too many" (studs) ...? etc ....
To each his or her own ...
Part of the enjoyment one gets from owning something such as a Harley Davidson motorcycle is that there is a community of owners (whether on an internet forum or in person) with whom you share a commonality ... as humans, we are gratified to receive validation of our tastes and preferences (prefer people like ourselves) ... so, it is no mystery to me your expression of your preferences ....
Good luck replacing your bike ... glad you apparently suffered no serious harm ... welcome to the forum ... hope you've got 'thick skin' ....
