It depends on the situation, Right or Left or both.

I usually put left foot down first using both brakes but often times at lower speeds I will use front only & throw both feet down at once.

Right down first, followed by left.

I'm not saying I do the training wheels thing where you keep your feet down as you start or stop. I'm just saying that when I roll to a semi-stop, like at a light that's gone green, and I'm waiting for the cars to take off, I try to keep my balance without having to put feet down. I've always been ridiculously graceful and I have the reflexes of a cat- a big fat cat, but a cat none the less. If I can keep from putting feet down, I will. And I don't like one foot down, cause every now and then I'll get that weird vertigo feeling, and I like to know where the ground is. I don't want to look up at a plane, or at a chick beside me and then start to slowly lean away from my down-foot. Just feels better to me having both down. I've never dropped my bike, other than once when I first started riding 20 years ago, so I think I'm doing something right... but definitely not everything.

Appreciate you answering and the bewitched bit was funny but why do you stop at a light that has gone green?

My "balance" is fine, with an 850 lb. scooter, I like to have both feet on the ground when I stop.

What about blinking both eyes simultaneously like the beloved Jeanie?

I normally put my left foot down first followed by my right. If I expect to be underway shortly I won't bother to put my right one down.

If I'm riding in my shorts it's left. But most of the time it's both just in case one slips .

When there are Police nearby I come to a full, complete stop with both feet on the ground. Otherwise generally left foot down. Riding two up on the Ultra Classic always two feet down.
