I am looking to find a good quality, low profile 1/2 helmet. Any suggestions?
I am also looking at the Bell Custom 500 (3/4 helmet). It seems like a great low profile 3/4, but don't really want a 3/4. Are there any low profile 1/2 helmets out there that have great reviews, like the Bell Custom 500 does?
Sorry if this was discussed already - I couldn't find a thread.
Do a search for the Outlaw Carbon Fiber, it's $69.00 at Leatherup.
TONS of threads and pictures of that helmet...seems to be confirmed to be the lowest profile DOT approved 1/2 lid out there.
I own the Vega XTS Naked and just recieved the Outlaw Carbon Fiber Ultra low Profile helmets. They both sit low on your head. As far as quality, its not hard to see that the Vega is superior. The straps & D rings are better on the Vega, The Vega has a better liner inside it. The Outlaw runs very small. I wear a size large in the Vega, had to get XXL in the Outlaw. I like both, but I feel the Vega is a better helmet & its about the same price.
