Damn, bro! You are lucky you didn't end up under that truck. You were certainly being watched over. Walking away from a 70mph accident virtually unscathed is amazing! Glad you're okay.

Why would you speed up and try to pass the truck. Maybe a little brakeing would have worked better?

Sorry to read about your accident.
How much further did you have to ride your damaged bike to get home? I would think even though you were fortunate not to get seriously hurt, you must have been pretty sore and stiff for the rest of the ride.

I would hate to think of getting caught up under the van body and rear duals. Could have been much worse for you. You could be just a large greasy spot on the highway if those tires had gotten ahold of you and spat you out to the rear DOT bumper...
