No but a tire that gets 25K is great, unless you're paying 33% more for it, ya know?

It's got to be hard as a rock. I'll be amazed if the tire proves to be a competent handler. If it is, fantastic, they have created the perfect tire.

Kind of puts the boot to the opinion that Dunlop and others have been doing everything they can to come up with a tire that will wear comparable to a car tire...
Wonder how long it will take them now?

I don't expect Michelin to be cheaper than Dunlop so who knows what the price will be.
That price seams high for a bias ply, radial?, saw the Elite III's at leatherup.com for about $147

If it's like Michelin high mileage car tires it will be like riding on ice skates.

keep the tires inflated to the manufacturer's recomended pressure. was told from a Metzeler tech that for every pound a tire is underinflated it loses 1000 miles in life expectancy, so if the sidewall states 40 psi front and 50 psi rear then that is what pressure you keep your tires, you should be seeing better mileage out of them.

In general, long lasting and good traction on wet roads are mutually exclusive. Softer rubber grips better but wears out faster. Harder rubber lasts longer but doesn't grip as well as soft rubber.

I like Avon tires. They cost more AND they wear out faster, but they grip the road like no other tire I've ridden on.

It's a bias ply but it's a 180/65-16. The E3 that you saw at $147 at leatherup.com is a MU90 or MT90 aka 130 or 140, not a 180.

Dipshit Tires ( Dunlap ) has been doing exactly what it wanted to do if you think about . Why would you as a huge volume supplier with a huge very brainwashed brand dependent client base like harley owners want to design and market a product with a longer life span ? You would be cutting your own profits throat wouldn't you by selling fewer tires ?
