I bought the California King size Flannel Sheets for garage storage, and only cover her after she's washed. The flannel sheets breathe and don't scratch at all.

Wal Mart....$19.96. Fits my 2011 Street Glide like it was made for it. Size large.

Dont cover it in the garage. Just toss my leather on the seat and let it be. Winter storage was at the dealer last year. For the storage cost, my local dealer also changes the oil and does the tightening and inspection. All cleaned up and ready to go when I pick it up

+1 -- don't see any need for cover when inside, but I do cover it when on road trips and parked at hotels or campsites. Generic cover keeps seat dry, bird crap off, less attractive to curious critters of any type.

The only time we use the bike covers is when we are on the road and we cover the bikes in the hotel parking lot. I got one that is branded Cover Max and it works fine. I live in the south and use my bike almost every day for my commute to work. So, it gets dusty anyway.

As was mentioned, though, the Pledge is great. That's about all I use on the scoot anymore.

based on recommendations from here, i bought one from walmart. elastic on the bottom, heat shield around the pipes area, soft where the windshield is, and has ties and clips underneath.

use it mostly on trips to keep morning dew off the seat, curious people from messing with it, and pesting people from sitting on it.

in the winter i have it in the garage, sitting on plywood (less moisture than on cement) with a battery tender connected, a 60w bulb under it with a small fan circulating air. sometimes i even got the cover on it.

its amazying how many times i will take it in the winter as long as its dry, not icy and the roads aren't loaded with salt.

i did keep my bike at the dealer for the first year i had it, but they don't allow in/out priviledges although they do the oil change wash and inspection, plus any dealer work is like 20% off. but it still wasn't worth it for me.
