Default Standard vs recurve windshields

I have a EG with a standard 12" windshield. I was either trying to look over or through it. I changed to a 10" and now I can see over it great but get to much wind. I was hoping someone has tried the re-curve type windshields and what your thoughts were. I read that a 10" re-curve will act like a 12". hep me out here!

Yes it will. I went from the stock HD 12 incher to a 9 inch recurve. The pocket of still air is larger (better wind protection) and I can see over the top.

It ranks up there with one of the best purchases I made.

It's true, my 10" recurve (longrideshields) blocks wind like my old 12" but now I see over it and not looking at the top edge of it.

'09 Ultra Classic. I am 6'4" and rode for about six months with my stock 12inch shield before getting my 10inch recurve from Long Ride Shields. Extremely happy with both the product and the company.

Hey Dk79e. It's all about getting the right size with these shields. You want the top of the shield to line up with the tip of your nose/mouth area. Right in there as close as possible. They really do perform excellent. Have someone help measure is about the easiest way. Have them get down in front of bike eye level with you and look where it hits your mustache area. Then measure from the top center screw to the top of the shield and that's the size you need. If you need any more help, feel free to PM me or email or call. (775)331-3789.

10" smoked Windvest on my 2010 RG. Looks great, works great. It has a nice little lip at the top, not all kinds of weird curves like some other brands. I see that LRS have both, but I like the clean look the small lip at the top, very functional as well.
