I need an enclosed trailer for work and figure I will get one that can haul two bikes. The questions that I could use input on are which brands to look at and which to stay away from along with a good usable size, and does a v nose help with fuel milage? I live in Florida and can look from Jacksonville to Tampa. There are so many ways and materials that are used in manufacturing that I could probably get screwed real easy. Thanks for any help.
The only good trailer is one with a flat tire that you have to leave at home!
But, if you gotta, the Wells Cargo is a solid product. Make sure she's a little heavy at the hitch or load it that way & the axle's not too far forward... for stability and no fish-tailing.

i,m in the process of finding a trailer also.i checked prices here in louisiana and they,re very reasonable.for a single axle6-8x12 is 2600.00 and a double axle is
4500.00.i know a friend who wants to sell me his late father in laws bike trailer.it was for a dyna low rider single bike trailer for 700.00 bucks.all aluiminum and slide out
ramp.and foward storage compartment,it was custom made.he want 10 grand for the low rider,i,m might buy it.just make sure you get something of high quality.mostle they all are.
I have owned more trailers than I can remember in my life. Along they way I have learned a few things about the brands and materials.
Being in Florida, I have to assume salty air can be an issue. Electrolysis is a PIA on aluminum/steel combo trailers. So buy one that has the frame undercoated completely BEFORE it is skinned. US CARGO builds their like that and I think Wells does also.
Personally, and many will disagree, I would steer clear of a Haulmark. I had so many issue with mine and have found a lot of other people with the same complaint.
V-Nose & MPG. Depends on the tow vehicle. I have seen ZERO difference between a 22ft V-Nose with 6 1/2 ft interior that had the tires under the floor and a 24ft flat nose car trailer with a low ride and 7ft interior. You loose a lot of storage with a V-Nose since you have to access the door, it all depends on your intended use. I wouldn't use fuel mileage as a deciding factor, but more so your intentions.
Steer clear of real "good deals". I bought a 8x12 cargo for family vacationing and hunting. Towed like crap! Poorly balanced and very skidish at HWY speeds.
I don't know what prices are in the rest of the country, but with 99% of all trailer built in Indiana, they are really cheap if you buy and pick up at the factory. Lastly, what ever size you think you want...ADD TWO FEET.
Dual axle are more stable than single, especially in a heavy cross wind. Always get brakes on at least one axle. Electric brakes are better than surge. Alum is nice. But they don't weigh a whole lot less than steel, and they are darn expensive. A V nose won't save you enough fuel to matter. But if you get one with a bubble front or a tapered top, you'll have less drag.
I just got done talkin to a cousin in Tenn. he said--------
"I gots my traylor fer sale,,, Ben fixin to muv anywho...
its got tons of spare tiars
**** with bed,kirtans,kiddy lidder,and a gold fish bowl.
no need to haul crapper paper cuz its thar to.
I aint able to deliver as I aint got no lisense"
so what do you think want his phone #???
oh yea I forgot to mention he also said he would throw in his
"woman and somebody's kid!"
