Funny thing about ethanol is that the government paid off the producers of it in the 80's to stop. The guy that started the company where I work built an ethanol still back then and was producing so much the government paid him to shut the still down. Then after the government and EPA were able to regulate the way it was distilled they started giving permits out with stipulations of how the ethanol plants are to be built. We built a few of the components of these plants and there is a seperator that creates a mash as a byproduct for feeding livestock. So there is no real loss of farming for food. If you remember back in the 70's and 80's there was a huge surplus of grain each year and since then other countries have modernized their farming output and equaled if not surpassed the US's farming output.
The only reason the prices for food have increased is just greed by resticting the supply and keeping the demand high so the traders on Wall Street can get rich. Cause the people from the farmers to the clerks selling the food sure aren't getting rich.
If you want more power out of your bike, if you want better MPG, if you want to stop putting fuel that corrodes your fuel delivery system..Use Ethanol Free gas...check out this LINK for where you can get it.
BTW, you will be doing your part to help bring down food prices.

Some of us wonder where you and others get the idea that it is available everywhere LOL
Yes it has caused the world's grain prices to skyrocket. That is what set off the problems in Egypt, Libya, Syria and a couple other middle eastern countries due to the people not able to afford food any more.
Not to count the 9 billion dollars of tax money for subsidies that we are being soaked for. In this country the huge increase in the cost of cereal, poultry, milk, meat and other food stuffs has been caused by the diversion of corn to alcohol and not feed for livestock and food for people.
It is simply insane what our government is doing. Yet election after election we put the same career politicians back into office.
They vote for these programs because the companies give them back huge ongoing contributions to their campaign funds.
The whole point of the article by the author is for the market to control
98.5% of the fresh water supply , personally I don't think we need speculators ,
multi national water companies and wall street investment bankers controlling fresh water supplies anywhere.

Some time ago, I noticed the outlet tube on my 5 gallon plastic gas container seemed to be missing the brass wire (?) strainer but looking close it was obvious the center on the thing had disolved. Some of the strainer remained around the edge and was like powder when touched. Not stiff like expected wire to be. Showed it to my genis neighbor and he said Ethanol is doin' sheet like this to the system. I searched Ethanol Free Gas and fount a location near me selling it and like the improvement in my machines. At least I don't think it be ruinin' the equipment.

The ethanol-free gas website has a link on it (http://www.fuel-testers.com/state_gu...anol_laws.html) which tells you state laws about whether or not gas pumps are required to display ethanol information or not. Thankfully PA requires it to say so if the fuel has ethanol blended in, so I've begun searching for pumps that don't mention it. Since I started strictly using non-ethanol blended gasoline I've seen my average miles per tank (3.3 gallon) go from high 80s to low 100s on average, in city driving.
For anyone who is curious, aside from the stations listed on that website, the one I go to is an Exxon at the corner of rt133 and rt63 in Harleysville PA, if you're in the area.
