biketoberfest/camping
Looking for info on camping at biketoberfest. We want to stay at a campground that has showers (clean) and also has a fairly good party atmosphere but not necessarily over the top. If it happens to rain the wife and I don't want to be at a place that turns into a mud pit either which I have heard mixed opinions that the cabbage patch does, don't know??
Any recommendations or a good website that shows all the campgrounds would be appreciated
thanks

The Moonshine campground has showers and is mostly grass. The showers are well used but adequate.
The Cabbage Patch campground doesn't have showers.
I've stayed at both of those and had a good time at each.
The Patch has the Cabbage Patch across the street for a good time but is a ways from the happenings in Daytona. But being the Patch, they have the wet t-shirt contests, bands, etc going on in the evenings.
The Moonshine is closer to the action, has a bar and also has large covered fire pit area to sit and talk to others in the evening.
Both campgrounds will allow you to park your bike by your tent. I know there is at least one in Daytona that has a parking area for your bike and you walk to your tent. I would rather have my bike close outside my tent.
Good luck, let us know where decide to camp.

Like the sounds of the covered fire pit and such of the moonshine.... Thanks for the info!
Can't imagine staying at a place where we couldn't park the bike at the tent.
