Sooner or later, they're all going to figure out that if they just pull up close enough, their front clip will block that obnoxious light. Might try mounting one on the back of your helmet. That should keep them back some.

I saw somewhere on the internet a few years ago someone selling cordless brakelight activated helmet lights. Seems like a good idea for a Goldwing rider....
I have seen BAL and other LED's. BAL's can get as bright and intense as a Police light. You know them when you see them. LED's are bright but not as intense. I think it's the BAL's intensity that really grabs your attention. BAL's are expensive (about $200). These eBay LED's look like a cost effective option but want to point out these are listed on eBay under Asian parts for those who'd prefer parts made in the USA. I plan to buy the BAL's.
AGREED. It seems like every Bright *** Lights thread on here always has someone chiming in about how they got the same light for a fraction of the BAL cost. That is simply not true.
BAL lights are made in the USA, they have a warranty, you can change the flash pattern with magnet, well worth the price in my opinion.

No problems and the cagers five me a lot of room. That bright flashing like is really obnoxious. They pass you as soon as they can but they do stay back til then. Just fine with me.

I LOVE my BAL-1! The only time, so far, I've had anyone visibly bothered was some cager at a red light flashing his high beams at the same frequency I have the tail light flashing.... kinda funny and he didn't look happy... and that made my day, yeah I'm one of those guys.
A few months ago I got stopped driving on base, where I work, for an ID and insurance check, and the DOD cop that checked my paperwork asked me where in the hell did you get that light, I gotta get one for my Road King.
Oh yeah, and I too have many cages stop further back than normal especially at night.
