Some "Genuine" HD parts are made by Kuryakyn and sold by Kuryakyn under a different part number. I buy what I think is the best bang for the buck, regardless of the brand. No HD pipes, no HD tuner, no HD tires, no HD seat, no HD windshields, no HD speakers, some HD chrome, some aftermarket chrome .....

nowadays you have to be careful of the non harley stuff. saw some plastic (PLASTIC) anti vibe footpegs that looked dead like the kuryakyn ones (the metal ones). I wonder how long plastic footpegs would actually last

I think a lot more no quality Harley parts are about to find their way into the market place

This weekend I bought some parts at the Dealer in another town. We were there visiting realatives and I found out that they were having a big open house and sale. One of the parts that I bought came with Metric fasteners to install it. This was a Genuine HD part bought at a dealer. I just hope I remember this issue if I ever need to remove it. I will wonder why none of my sockets work.

I choose the best rated product and price for the money whether genuine or 3rd party.
