In 1970, do you think anyone would spend 20-30 grand for a full dress HD? Houses were going for that. I bought a brand new 1969 Hemi Super Bee for $3600, out-the-door and was street racing it that night. Today, these are going for 100K+, but they were cantankerous and unreliable. A new muscle car with 300-500 HP isn't cheap, but you're not changing plugs every 500 miles, and not buying speed parts...none needed!
I hear ya, and I even have an '11 camaro SS! And while right now is a great time for muscle cars, I was talking more along the lines of buying an exact 69 camaro, right now, brand new. Metal inside and out, leather and vinyl, no plastic, but with modern power, suspension, and climate control.

Good points but there isn't a feeling to describe the looks on the new breed while they are in the bar on dress up day and telling everybody about the 103 & 107" kits they had put in and all strutting and then all they get to see of that 40 year old shovel is it's *** 90% of the time , I just have to do those guys can't help it . Stink eye doesn't begin to describe it at the next stop .
