If you read about them a little, you start to think their problems all come back to a sexual issue with Fred Phelps. Not unlike some other cults and their leaders. Take a look at some info about Fred's history with women, early dating, etc., and then think about his obsession with homosexuals as the only great evil worth mentioning...makes you think, huh?

Coincidentally, he seems to have gone completely off the deep end when his son came out of the closet and left home to be a gay rights activist.
