On Oct 2 there is a ride out of Kansas City to Topeka Ks. in protest of West boro Baptist Church! Go to KCProductionslive.com for more info, also on youtube "2011 ride against the Westboro Baptist church". I think of all the rides around this area this is the one I'll do.

PGR doesn't acknowledge their existence. An event like this will play into their hands with the results they are looking for....publicity. I question the promotion company as to their real purpose also.

Agree 100%. The O.P.'s heart is in the right place, but sometimes, as much as it sucks, we have to what's best rather than do what we would really like to do.

For those who do not know how this little scam operates, here it is.
They are not protesting because of them being bombed several years ago, nor do they protest for any beliefs. They simply protest funerals to generate negative publicity. It is a money scam, just like the idiots on Craigslist that want you to pay them Western Union Moneygrams- only worse, they are harming Americans. In this case, the way to fight fire is by ignoring it. After they generate negative publicity, they call the local police stations, let them know they are protesting in their city on "X" day, and ask for protection. When denied, they sue the city. If met with resistance, they sue. The family tree runs straight up, like a telephone pole- probably not a single limb on that thing, and the entire "congregation" is made up of family members... who take on the family business of law. They study law, pass the bar, become attorneys, and join the fight for free money. They are nothing more than "ambulance chasing" lazy thugs who manipulate the system to their advantage, and had gotten millions of dollars because of it. They have hidden behind a steeple for way too long, and recently Americans have become aware that they are not a church but rather a law firm in "lamb's" clothing. God will deal with them, but until then do not give them the publicity that they seek.
