The only one I agree with is the '84 FXST. Then, my list would read as follows:

1971 SuperGlide
1977LowRider
The FXR
The Heritage

The FXR showed a Harley could be made to perform & handle. The Heritage ushered in an era of retro cool.

Confirm the 52K and the 36Knuck .. Both were Milestones ..

No FXR? Deffinitely a milestone for Harley.

No V-Rod should be added to the list, not now, not ever. What an ugly waste of steel, imo.

"Ugly" is pretty subjective. I think they're a pretty good looking machine.

From a more objective standpoint though, I would think the first water-cooled HD would be a bit of a big deal...

Agree on the FXR being in there.....1982 FXR (1st year). 5-speed, rubber mount, new frame and 1st year non-AMF that showed HD could build decent handling and reliable bikes. I bought a new '83 FXRS and rode that thing all over the country from Montana and it never missed a beat. Those later shovels held up very well.
