One other trick you can try is to use the older Army blousing rubbers. Short OD green twisted cloth elastic bands with hooks on the ends.
You hook the ends together at the top of the boot or on it, and tuck the end of the pant leg up under it.
Makes it look like the pant leg is tucked into the boot top, but the rubber keeps the pant leg from blowing up in the breeze.
When you get to where your going you can pull the pant leg out and just leave the rubber on for the trip back.
You can do the same thing with a big rubber band, but the Army rubbers are easier to use and usually reasonably cheap in Military surplus stores.

Do the Marines still use them? I thought all the new BDU's had draw strings in the bottom of the leg for that now.
I still have a set or two laying around for hunting, but I don't bother on the bike.
I normally have to shorten most off the rack pants, so they are just fine for riding with boots.
I don't ride in sneakers very often, you just can't do the same level of damage to a car door with a sneaker. [sm=laughingsmilie.gif]

Guess I"m of the "don't give a ****" variety myself. Regular jeans and lace up Ariat boots cuz I'm walking through construction sites almost everyday. When I ride, I'm looking at the scenery or watching stupid cages....never took the time to look at my legs.

Duct tape. Really. I've always got a roll with me. Works great in a pinch.
You beat me to it! You can fix anything with duct tape. My brother-in-law even made a wallet out of the stuff, it has lasted over 3 years now.

I like to wear cowboy boots when riding. They're comfortable, make for easy shifting, give good protection and solve the jean creep problem.

Hey blackbird. What kind of soles do you have on the bottom of your cowboy boots? I have been thinking about wearing mine, but the soles are too slick, I do not think there is enough grip. I had considered resoling them and putting on rubber soles on the bottom for grip.
