My Wesco boots arrived this afternoon. Plenty stiff right out of the box. The fit is perfect. Best of all they are American made and use American parts. It will take a few days or so for the break in. Now I need some cold weather to try out that new Fox Creek jacket.
Good deal. You will love them. I wear Whites smoke jumper lineman boots. Almost the same thing. The only downside is its a little hard to shift in them when they are new.
Wesco makes fine boots, I have a pair of the Engineer Boss. Took some time to break in but when they do, they fit very well.
Make sure you use a high quality leather dressing like their Bee combo, Pecard, Obendorf's or Langlitz Leather.
I use the latter, have been doing so for thirty five years and it has protected my boots and Langlitz jackets about as good as it gets.
Tried the custom fitting last year but it didn't work out. Might try again. I like the Harness Boots, lined, with the non-marking sole, about sixteen inches high. They'll be what I order next.
It's Obenauf's, which is what I personally prefer simply because I don't use silicone on my leather. Plenty of Langlitz jackets around here been treated with their product for years though and I haven't seen one falling apart yet.
Wesco boots are definitely nice quality, they just don't have any tactical boots and I'm a tad set in my ways around that. I don't need logging boots for running around on the asphalt and concrete so I go with Danner.
As far as fit goes, you won't regret buying Wesco boots.
