Very cool! I can't believe how many old scoots that I've seen in NY/NJ in the last few years. Last year we stopped in Garrison, NY for lunch. When we came out to leave, this bike was sitting by ours. The owner said that he bought it from an old neighbbor after her husband passed away. She said that she was cleaning out the barn and found "this old piece of junk" under a canvas tarp.
He wouldn't say what he paid for it other than "I almost stole it, and she was happy about it". He had to pull the heads and soak the rings in penetrant for a couple days. After he got them freed up he replace all the gaskets, buttoned it up, rebuilt the carb and it fired right up. That's just about all he did to it. oh yeah, it's a 1917 model.
