Question Looking for oppnions / advice.

So I had a serious offer to trade my 2008 1200 Nightster with 8500 miles for a 2003 FXDL Dyna Low Rider with 950 miles, the offer came from an older guy that frequents my VFW post and he told me "I cant ride the Dyna anymore but that Sporty looks like something I could ride". I honestly dont think he can ride either and is just trying to do something nice for me.

So the question is do I take the trade, the only thing I am considering is the Nightster is basically customized the way I want it (paint, intake, exhaust, pegs, grips, and on and on) and the Dyna is stock. So I am really torn, give me your input guys/girls and your reasoning either way.

Thanks!

It's a no-brainer--ABSOLUTELY you should trade. There is no comparo between a Sportster & a Big Twin. And 950 Miles? Take it & RUN! You can customize the Dyna, but you can't make a big twin out of a Sporty.

If it's silver/black 100th Anniversary grab it. I smile everytime I look at mine.

He paid $16,000 plus for that Low Rider when he bought it. Great offer, take it!

Don't think too long. Go for it and don't look back. Last August, I traded straight up a '79 Vette I had for 22 years done the way I liked -paint, leather, sound system, ect.- for the '04 Fatboy with 9100 miles. Took all summer to find a taker, the deal went smooth and both ends are happy. Make the trade if that is what YOU want and then have fun making the bike the way you want over time as funds allow. Even trade, at least in PA, means no tax either way, just title transfer.

I'm surprised you aren't posting pictures of your new Low Rider!
