Just for curiosities sake,i went to a Honda forum to see if it was at all like our wonderful HDF,and saw a thread titled Harley vs. Honda...turned out to be the old sound file deal where the Honda goes ring ding ding...most found it humorous,but one guy responded that "the truth of the matter is that the Honda will be around in 15-20 years, long after the Harley is junk'...DID I MISS SOMETHING? How many 20 year old Hondas do you see as opposed to 20,30,40 year old Harleys...long after the Honda has been recycled into Zippo lighters? I know, i asked for it for going to the Honda site to begin with...my point is that the misconception of Harleys reliability and longevity being inferior is still alive and well..despite what you see with your own eyes. Sheesh, hope my Harley makes it to work today before it rolls over and dies on me.......

It's the same old crapola. Just remember, if you have to explain it, they wouldn't understand anyway. Besides, what have you got against bloated road sofas with airbags from Honda anyway?

Don't lump all metric riders into one pile, they are not all likel that and I say the same on the VTXOA.com when that person tries to lump all the HD riders into one pile. There are good and bad on both sides of the fence, I've been on both sides and seen it in person, I ride with anyone that rides on 2 wheels. We all take the same risks out there, we should be friends and allies with all 2 wheeled riders(well, except for maybe some of these dumb squid riders in shorts and flip-flops on )

my brother in law has a 31 year old honda cb400 super sport.
my sister has an 18 year old honda cb1.
so how old is your bike?

Good for you. My buddy's got a 76 Sporty, and if you check out sigs 74_ironhead has just that. Nothing wrong w/the longevity of Harleys. Just a jealous little punk on a Honda forum trying to be sooo cool. Who cares? Ride what you wanna ride b/c you want to ride it. If you're so jealous you must make little snide lies to feel better, get a different bike, or a different therapist.
