Ok, I have ridden the New Limited in a couple of days of 40 degree weather and have to say, it is an amazing difference from any of my previous bikes. The coverage, heated grips, and storage capacity make this the bike for me. If I didn't ride 12-15000 miles per year and only rode on the weekends, then I would have staid with my Springer, or even my V-Rod. But since I have transitioned to riding everywhere I seem to go, then the bagger is here to stay.
All I keep askign myself is, "What the hell took me soooo loong?"
I had a '93 Heritage -went to my '53 Pan- then the '10 WG.
The Heritage was too heavy for me to really rip- the Pan is great, but I don't have weeks to make a trip and parts are scarce and not cheap- the WG fits that power-to-weight ratio I enjoy.
I have a Saddlemen's bag on the back and can go anywhere on earth in confidence and comfort.
I still have my 98 WG and 03 Heritage. I love the WG for short trips less then 200 miles but the Heritage on long days still fits good. In a perfect world I would add a knucklehead to the garage for around town but funds are not that good yet.

A Fatty with a windshield for now, however at 54 I'm starting to see the attraction of fairings and fixed bags, especially this morning with the temp at 34°F......

91 flstc with the windshield on it. 38*f wasn't too bad yesterday but made me really wish I had put on some heavier gloves. The rest was fine. More storage would be nice at times but leather bags is good enough for now. The other day got caught in the rain without raingear @ 41*f.That truly sucked. Then the wife calls and says I need to meet her at a hospital taking me another 20 miles from home. The suck meter was just about pegged. Fortunately the rain let up for the ride home.
