I own several full face helmets.
You need to know a little about helmets before you go buy one.
And if you haven't had one, you probaly need somebody to fit one to yer head.
Then you will have to wear it to break it in.

But the helmets are Modular helmets.

I wear a nolan N103 When its cold outside. The Nolan is hard to break in. But its a good helmet.
Kinda warm for the summer if you live in south texas.

And I have a AVG Migula for the warmer weather.

http://www.extremesupply.com/product...IDHELMETS.html

Both have quick release chin straps from the factory. ONe main reason I own them

Ride with the clear face shield open in the summer time and when its cold I wait till I leave on the bike and pull it down and breath threw my nose

Thanks so much ya'll
I have the same issue. it will get better over time. Pull the straps apart as much as possible when putting it on. The pads need to be snug.

maybe you can shave some padding from the opening of the helmet to help. I'm going to look at my Scorpion to see if thats possible.

I'm having problem with the "bending my ear all over the place" also. I went thru about 8-9 different helmets at the store til I found one that fit my head comfortably. I've been taking a riding class and we have been putting on and taking off our helmets 8-10 times a day for the last 3 days. The padding is breaking in nicely and the helmet feels better each time I wear it. However, my left ear is killin' me. I need to find a way to get my helmet on without bending the tar our of my ear!

Did you git a helmet too small for yer head.

Different helmets wears different and some work better for certain heads.

I'd get a bigger size. My Vega half is a Large but my Vega FF is a XXL. Both fit fine. There is a huge size difference between types and brands of helmets. I might wear anything from M to XXL depending on brand and style. I tried them on in a store before I bought one.

All you need to know about helmets is here...

www.webbikeworld.com

They explain it all, including head shapes and what helmet will fit your round basketball head, or your narrow alien head.

I did a lot of research on the site before I bought my Bell Star.

Sounds like it fits right. If your head doesn't hurt it will break in some. You should lightly bite your cheeks if you open and close your mouth.

Here is a tip on breaking in a new helmet...Mine was too tight on the cheeks too so i cut a broom handle just long enough to stretch the side of the helmet and let it sit for a couple of days...Issue resolved and has fit perfect ever since...Hope this helps
