So right now over 50% are 36-65 I'm betting if I would have cut it differently to 40-65 it would have still been pretty similar.
Two questions: Do you think that younger riders as they grow older will be purchasing Harleys over other types of motorcycles and keeping the stats the same or do you think that the 50% of owners age will increase to 46-75 in ten years with a smaller majority being under 46? The second question is, what do you think Harley could do to draw in younger owners?
Oh, and maybe a third. If Buell was still operating under HD and was included in the polls as well, do you think there would be more younger owners in the poll or would the fact that this is and HD board and not titled towards Buell would have nullified any advantage including Buell would have given towards the younger owners represented in the poll?

I really think buying a harley has been a jump the bandwagon experience for a lot the last 25 yrs or so and it has been tapering off as that generation has aged . This doesn't of course reflect everyone I'd say the bigger group in this forum just like the bike but we do a good number of the other types and this isn't that thread .
Younger riders I don't think are drawn as much to the machine or the " Image " like a lot of our age group where and let's face it the price tag for cool has gotten a bit steep to the point of ridiculous for a younger person with a young family to be paying and with the economy going as it has .
Read an article like a week ago where a lawyer who had to become a stripper to make ends meet , that's the reality of our world today not the head in the clouds pricing the MoCo think's is still ok .
