I wonder if the cost of the HD extended warranty is negotiable from the dealer?
Yes they are. I just bought an extended warranty and I was able to buy 1 additional year (after the original factory warranty) and they gave me 2 more free. So that is actually a 5 year warranty when including the 2 year warranty from the factory. You can shop around and if you can't get a deal this good or better, let me know and I can give you the dealer's location.

I have a 2010 Heritage with only 900 miles on it. I bought it in Dec 2009 when I was home on R&R from Baghdad. Then I left for Afghanistan in Dec 2010. The factory warrenty ends around 28 Dec so I'm considering the extended warrenty too. The dealer in Gettysburgh, PA sent me this as the cost.
Warranty is rap around plan they an a $150 fee also
3 year 1489+ 150=1639 4 year 1794+150=1944 5 year 2114+150=2264
Covers all non wearable parts .tire and wheel is road hazard only
Is this normal? I see the $1,600 for 5 years statement, the negotiate, etc. Anyone know where the best deal would be? I take it that the extended warrenty is good anywhere in the US. I'll be here another year and only get to ride when I'm back for a couple of weeks on R&R. However, after Dec 2012 I'm done and plan to ride a lot to make up for lost time.
