Sounds like a beard bib for eating. My Arai FF lids all have a built in air dam that slides up into the chin guard when not in use. Been using a balaclava for ages but what works better is the stiff collar on my Gerbing liner - zipped all the way up it tucks neatly into the bottom of the helmet and blocks almost all the wind.
Google "balaclava". It doesn't attach to the helmet but it covers your face and your neck.
+1 on the balaclavas. I have one like this and one that has heavy fleece covering the neck area. Very comfortable under the helmet and very affective against wind.
I just bought two, one for myself and one for the wife. They snap to the side of you 3/4 open face helmet. I use to have them years ago when snowmobiling. Contact Dan Turco and Sons. Ask for Kathy tell her what you want and she can find it. They are similar to the on made by CKX. Here is what they look like. The full length on is two small. But the first one works great. http://www.ckxgear.com/gear/index.aspx?cat=6&scat=4

Last year i experimented with a helmet skirt that velcroed to the bottom of the helmet then went under your jacket to seal the air out.. though it worked great sealing out air, it was too restrictive in head movement.
this yr i cheated and cheaped out.. i took a old pair of sweat pants and cut the leg off and cut about about a foot and a half or so out of the center of the length. then slit the sides up a few inches, maybe 6".. i then use it as a stand alone turtle neck so to speak.. it works great. with the slit's, a portion lays on my chest and down my back and the rest bunched up around my neck and slightly up on my chin, it seals up nicely against the inner lining of the FF and still allows for full movement/head swivel with no sight restriction like you would get with a full baclava.. i've ridden in temps down to 32 so far and my neck never got cold, i did start to get a chill around my cheeks and eyes that i couldn't figure out why.. once at work i realized i had the helmet vents open.. DOH !!!!
I wouldn't want something that attached to a helmet , wouldn't fit snugly enough around your neck to make any difference . I just wear a non leather coat with a high lined collar the zips up to right under my chin & ears works wonders , no neck drafts at all .
