Get a quality full face thats comfortable and fits your melon properly (mines happens to fit perfectly in a Shoei RF1000). Then add your own Bluetooth headset. There are several brands (I use the Blueant Interphone) that install easily and work very well.
i have an HJC modular, with built in sunshield. and bluetooth ready. unfortunately it is ready for the chatterbox system, which IMO SUCKS! i had to take it apart a few months after getting it, when the gf wore it (was home on leave from CG). I didnt realize, the left speaker never had worked since i have no hearing in left ear. the wire wasnt soldered to the board properly. the volume doenst go loud enough to hear on the highway, on the HD or the sportbike. even forher with both ears working. havent bothered trying to link it to another one, because I dont use it at all now. looking into a new pair of helmets, maybe carbon fiber joe rocket helmets, and using a SENA setup.
I've had the Scala G2 and G4 sets, they function well but, not enough volume.
I'm using the J&M bluetooth now. Works great, if you stream tunes in the fidelity is better than the Scala.
I don't use the intercom function so I can't comment on that.
Its much more than a phone. I gots my full mp3 library at my disposal, bike to bike intercom, voice command dialing which is handy in case of emergency. turn by turn directions streaming to my helmet.
Some may not want any of that but I enjoy the tunes and the comfort of the voice dialing feature should I get stung by a bee or wasp and need medical attention ASAP. Can have help on the way while giving myself the shot without wasting time pulling my helmet off. Might not sound like much time saved but it happens in a heartbeat so every second counts.
