dickey makes a valid point, so if you do go with it, get the warranty for a couple of years.
You can turn the warranty in early for cash / credit if the bike turns out good after a few thousand miles.
But 07/08 were the first with the cast crank and slightly too tall gearing. Compensator/clutch ring/starter could be an issue. 25 mm axle bearings are definitely a concern. Just FYI.
Get the warranty,the year shouldn't b a problem.I have an 08 Ultra with 35000 miles on her not one problem,I did use the warranty couple of times but thats just for new tires.
The more i look at the bike, the more i like it... if I can get the warranty and get them down to 13 or so i think im gonna go for it...
Don't let an emotional decision win you over. For that kinda gelt, you should get a stock, lo mile '08 or 9.
That's the problem with a Harley. They look so good, you just GOTTA have it! I wouldn't touch that bike with a 10 foot pole because of the mods. You don't know how they were done. Was the frame altered in any way?
I think Dickey hit the nail on the head, I really can't add much more except, not only is the stretched bag fad over, I have always thought they were ridiculous and ugly.
