The wife finally gave the green light. Last night I came across this bike http://www.hdcoolsprings.com/exotic-...d1c69f03b5.htm . I actually looked at this bike back in november at the dealer and fell in love with it then. .. What do you guys think? Blue Book on the bike is 15...
I'd jump on it, but i would still get the warranty. lots of money spent on that thing. I love my RK, talked to a lot of people who rode many different bikes and everyone would want their Road kings back or are still riding theirs to the grave. that look bada$$!
are you comfortable riding with apes ?15 k for 4 year old bike ? what does 2011 with 2 year warrenty cost 2 or 3 k more?
some extras but are they the ones you would have spent your own money on?
good luck hope its nice enough to test ride those bikes in TN.
I don't think you can go wrong. Price is in line. I have had mine since March of last year and love it. Couple things on the one you are looking at that I don't care for but if you like it pull the trigger. Congrats.
I bought my '09 Road King almost two years ago for $15.9K. It has cruise, heritage bars, avon grips, and was lowered. The only thing I've added besides tires are highway pegs. The Road King is my favorite motorcycle though an Ultra Classic may be in the future. If you're really happy with the bike and it includes warranty, then go for it. It is your decision. I took about nine months of looking before I found my current RK about 5 miles from where I live.
Nice looking Road King. Guy had done a lot of stuff to it. The only thing about buying Repo's to consider is maintenance. If someone can't pay for their bike in the first place I just have to wonder if they are paying the price for oil changes etc. I sure feel bad for the guy that lost it.

The WIFE "gave you the green light"? Maybe you should start small, like with a Honda Rebel. That is, if the "wife gives the green light". Haven't ANY of my posts about this sort of thing sunk in?
A man DOES NOT ask for permission from a woman for anything, assuming FINANCES are not a problem. That is the ONLY time a man needs to clear something with a woman.
I would avoid this bike. For that kinda cheddar, I would want a stock bike, not one with all kinds of "trendy" mods, that you don't know who did & what they screwed up along the way. When those dopey lookin' stretched bags are no longer in style, it's gonna cost you some kablingy to change 'em back. Plus, it almost looks like you can see where the extensions are from a couple pics. Dead stock & mint, that's a 10-12 grand bike, IMHO. Especially if the guy knew it was gonna be repoed, and decided to beat the hell out of it. I would've!
