Why does it bother you that some like comfort? J/K I ride the pizz out of my Ultra, but I like to listen to tunes sometimes. I don't really have to have that stuff, but I can, so I do. No big deal.
Do they really make airconditioning for bikes? Naw surely not!
Old freind of mine said when you go to the all you can ate buffet, take what you like, don't spit on what ya don't like, cause someomne sle may like it!
Wait camarotuner prolly doesn't get all you can eat buffets [8D]
I ride coast to coast every year, Va to Ca. I enjoy the music & the cruise. When I go,it is usually 30 to 40 days at a time, not 2 or 3 days & a week off then 2 or 3 home. Next ride is a perimeter ride of the U.S. Been out here almost 50 yrs riding, I think I,m entitled to a little comfort now, youngster...
It depends on where you're at in life. I've had geezer glides, I even (God forbid) had a Gold Wing SE with all the bells and whistles. I've ridden dirt, motocross and trials. I've had Harleys (5), Hondas, Suzukis, BMWs, Yamahas, famous James along with a few others thrown in. Currently I'm riding a 1200 C Sportster. I've been riding for 60+ years.
I have also had speed boats, cabin cruisers and sail boats (each very different from the other)
I've driven big cars and I've driven sports cars (Corvette, Porsche and Miata).
Some people prefer different things at different times of their lives
Along the same lines, I didn't marry the first girl I met either.
BTW I wasn't kidding, there is at least 1 company that has an air conditioning system for a motorcycle. It's got one hell of an odd set-up but basically you end up with cold air coming out of these speaker looking thingies that mount in front of your legs and it comes with a new seat which incorporates vents to blow cold air onto your back and ***. I have no clue how the hell it's supposed to work exactly but it does exist. Wish I could find a link to it, you guys would get one hell of a kick out of it.
Don't doubt it. I've seen air conditioned helmets. Just a matter of time until someone came up with a system that mounts to the bike. That's a bit over the top for me though.

People don't understand why we love motorcycles, and some motorcycle riders don't understand why we ride Harleys. Who cares? Based on your name, you like Camaro's. I'm sure there are people out that that don't understand your like of them, why you wouldn't pick/enjoy a 'better' car, etc. Everybody is different. Things like cruise control actually permit more riders to ride, did you think of that? (People with arthritis, etc.) Heated gear can help people ride longer into the winter season. Being from Arizona, I hate being cold with a passion, so I would be all for some heated gear if I were heading up north! I'll admit a stereo is a luxury item, but one I appreciate when I'm doing a few hundred miles in a day. I'll jump on the bike to get away from the wife, or the crazy crap that goes on, but one of the things that helps me relax is listening to my music. Why not do it while I'm doing my other relaxing item, riding?
