Default TC88 Big Bore

I have a TC88 with PCIII, SE 204 cams, and V&H Big Shot exhaust. I may change the exhaust to V&H 2-1 Big Radius, but that should not have much effect on future changes.

Planning to install a big bore kit - local shop is pushing new Screaming Eagle 95" cylinders, but I was thinking I might as well go with the 97" or 98" cylinder kit. Any downsides with the 97 or 98 kits? Anybody have experience with the SE204 cams and big bore - any issues? Not really interested in changing cams or hearing everyone tell me there is a better one out there.

I do not want high compression pistons - plan to stay in 9.4 -9.7 range. I am also going to have a mild street port done to stock heads to increase air velocity. Lastly, I'll have the PCIII remapped using Dynojet Tuning Link software.

Any advice or experience is appreciated.

You really don't need to change the cams if you don't want to. You won't be taking full advantage of the head port, higher compression and big bore though. It all depends on what you are expecting to get out of it. It is easy to put new springs in while you are getting your heads done. You can also have your stock jugs bored to save some money. If your not going for a high powered monster, which it sounds like your not, they will be reliable.

best advice is to read and study for Ur self to get what U want..

Read through the Touring and Softail "Dyno" sections,, there is thousands of post in the two threads on all the different builds that others in here have done.
