at high speeds the wind resistance will activate your hand brake so you have to make some supports that keep the hippo hand off the brake. They work well but electric gloves are easier to use. When you take your hand out of the hippo hand while riding, it's sometimes difficult to find the hole and get your hand back on the controls.
That's what I like about the old Vetter one's I had. They were not made of a cloth type of material and were stiff and sturdy. Wind didn't effect them and the openings for your hands and forearms were big. They had a stiff wire frame sewn into them to keep them from flexing.
Sure do wish I still had them, don't know what I did with them or where they went. Like so much in life they just kinda went away at some point.
