So I'm starting a custom bobber project (new to Harley's though), I was wondering what the best motor was that's both kick start and electric start. I was looking at the 78 ironhead and the mid 8os EVO's. As far as performance and the ease of use for a custom project what would you recommend? Or if there's another motor I'm unaware of please let me know. Any help is greatly appreciated
Any big twin can be button & kicker that's a transmission function not the motor all you need is a decent after market ignition system for the kicker , stock needs the motor to turn 2 complete revolutions to fire . For a custom built bike stick with the evo's MUCH more available to work with than the old sporties those are a bit limited for everything and kinda specialized = $$$$
