Does any one have cruise control experience, good or bad? I have never used one. What model stands out for safety function etc?

I don't know about models, i have the standard that HD supplies on their touring models(2011 Road King), but I love it. Came from a softie and was always envious of a mate on our weekend rides who had an SG. Changed up to the RK and wow, the long straight roads are bliss with the cruise on and just being able to relax the right hand while travelling is great. Originally thought it was a bit of a gimmick, but am now a convertee!

I use the Cruise on my Ultra most of the time I am riding due to a bad wrist. Liked it so much, that before a long trip out west, I installed Cruise on the wifes Deluxe. now she loves it as much as I do, especially on the freeways.

Came standard on my bike... would not want to do without it ever again.

After many years I added it to my FLHTC, one of my favorite mods.

Got CC on my SG, best money spent by far. All you have to do to disengage is pull in clutch, use either brake, or roll throttle forward, much like a car. On my wife's VTX they don't offer any cheap electronic cruise, so I went with a mechanical lock made by Vista Cruise. Bout 30 bucks I think. Nothing spectacular, but works well for the money spent, and you can make minor speed adjustments while under lock and a flip of the thumb releases it. I'd be surprised if the didn't make an HD unit.

If you do a lot of freeway cruisin', it's very nice. My EG is the first bike I've had with it and I like it.

Installed it on my SG and love it. One of the best things I did especially when doing long trips. Would be lost without it.
