6th Gear replacement
I have been searching for a while but cant find anything on the subject. I am interested in switching my 6th gear on my 2012 fat bob for something that will have the RPMs about 2 grand lower than what it is while cruising for better gas mileage. But I cant find tranny parts, or anyone who knows who to talk to about anything that would fit in it. any help would be appreciated

Wanting to slow down the RPM's by 2k at highways speed is just plain,, Well,, Dumb...
Even Ur 103 won't push Ur bike at 70 mph at 700 rpm's. Besides, that would lug the motor SO bad, it'd really be Harmful to the motor.
Doing 70 mph Ur stock gearing is only turning Ur motor less than 1/2 of the rpm's that it will turn. Plus at 2700 rpm's, its right in the TQ range of Ur curve for Ur TQ power for passing and climbing hills.
Thats why U can't and won't find anything on doing what Ur saying, cause it won't work.
IMO, thinking U need to ride Ur bike a few Ks and then see if U still feel the same way.
Harley's 6 speed is not what some call a true overdrive tranny, BUT Baker, one of the best trannys does make a True overdrive 7 speed tranny's for Harleys..

U can swap out Ur stocker for the Baker 7 speed and it will lower Ur top gear RPM at highway speed by maybe 200-300 rpms.
I will add if U do that I for sure would having at least the STG1 and cams with a good fuel tuner and Dyno
Of course it'll set U back about $3k plus labor for install... If Ur really set on lowering the RPM's in high gear U can go that way.
Let us know what Ur thinking now.
