Wouldn't doubt it , Jap's have a real low opinion of US workers . Only reason we have them here not China is they hate each other guts so bad over WW2 still . China would make the islands a glowing lighthouse if a heartbeat if they thought they could get away with it .

I'm to the point where if I see a 'Made in China' notation... I completely cringe and look for better alternatives, preferably 'Made in USA'.

If I can't find any, what the heck is my alternative?

Sometimes... it's hard to win!

The tourpak on my Ultra isn't fiberglass. It is plastic. Injection molded I do believe. Older ones may have been fiberglass though. Say from the 70-80's.

TourPaks aren't fiberglass any more. They are indeed made of injection-moulded ABS.

There are an infinite number of Japanese companies set up in China. Japan is also seeing its manufacturing base disappear.

President's tax reform plan introduced this week calls for 25% cap on manufacturing companies' tax rates versus 28%-35% current. This would of course encourage investment into that sector instead of other currently more profitable ones, like banking for example. It probably won't pass because of politics being what they are, so expect more of the same. After April when Japan does its corporate tax cut we will be left with the highest tax rate in the entire world.

No freakin wonder.

I gotta wonder how that's playing out every Chinese I know or have met has had a deep ingrained hatred of the Japanese and haven't made any bones about being public about it . Interesting insight I'll have to research a bit on , I can't help but feel there's a long game being played there that isn't all about money .
