Batt Voltage Code
I ride every day, haven't had any problems or symptoms at all. Today I rode 35 miles, parked the bike and left it for around 4 hours. When I came back it started normally, but I had a check engine and battery light that persisted. Figuring I'd just head home and troubleshoot it there, I started back. After about 20 miles the trouble lights went away. Made it home, checked the diagnostics, and got a PO 562: Batt Voltage Low EFI

If your RK still has the original batt in it, then it could be on the verge of failure. Another possibility is a malfunctioning charging system - not likely on a bike with just under 14K on the clock. A loose ground connection (very likely on a HD!) can also cause inconsistent voltage. You might get some answers by using a voltmeter to check your readings at different rpm to see what kind of volts you are getting. Hope you get it worked out.
