Default 2013 Springer

Has anyone heard if Harley will be bringing back any of the Springer models for the 2013 lineup?

Maybe a sportster..... not likely the Heritage Springer or Springer classic though.

I've been travelling all over the country, visiting HD dealerships all over the place.... and telling them about my intention to purchase an 02-03 Heritage Springer.

Not one of them has even so much as mentioned a new model coming out. If they are, they are keeping it a secret.

Owned a '99 Heritage Springer / 4000 miles / Laser Red - sold it for 10,500 after suddenly being laid off last year. I really liked the bike - hoping I'll have the opportunity to buy another.

I always loved that 2008 CVO Springer.

Right now, all we have is Jerry Springer!

A springer Sportster? I sincerely doubt it.

I have heard everything from "They are putting the Springer on the shelf to build interest and bring them back later" to "They can't make ABS work on a springer front end" - so who knows? The late springers has always been sort of a niche market bike, so maybe HD wants to recycle parts for a while to keep costs down. The latest models like the Blackline, Slim, and maybe even the X bones kinda support this thinking because they are known by many as parts bin bikes. I've got to say, I hated to see them go, but if they are gone for good, it will only help the value of our bikes as Springer owners.

The Springer is the one unique bike they had. Maybe rather than unique, "oddball" might be the term. I liked the two I had but ultimately got into the touring bikes with the Fiberglas, stereo, and cruise control.
