I used to work for a sign company we did a lot of gas station work. conoco ( owned by the same co. as dupont) would send us a commercial Imron paint with an activator to paint the bumper poles and curb islands, I have rebranded stations and painted this around gas pumps and painted as low as 20 below zero. Not ideal by any means.
when I opened my shop 17 years ago this is what I used, My floor doesn't have a vapor bearier and sweats when it is humid out. After this many years there is traffic areas where it has worn through, weld spots where the cement has popped, but it has NEVER pealed. anytime I paint a garage floor this what I use and swear by it, you can get it at any auto body supplier that sells dupont paint. It is expencive about $70 a gallon and you should give it two coats but IMO in a regular garage I think it would last a life time.
Based on everything said, seems my initial attemp probably failed due to poor prep (despite my sincere attempt to do it right) or a moisture problem, nd NOT the product itself. I'll need to assess the new place thoroughly and give it another try if the floor condition is suitable (no excessive moisture).
I used a 2 part epoxy from Lowe’s, believe it was made by QuickCrete. Love it, no issues. Like others have said its all in the prep work and temperature. Placed a 3x4 ft rug where I park the bike to keep the kick stand from gouging it.
Check out Griots garage. http://www.griotsgarage.com/ An entire website devoted to your mancave. Some of the best products I have ever used. Never tried their floor paint but have no doubt it works as advertised.
I used the Quick Crete epoxy also. As stated previously, it is all in the prep work. Do the moisture test first before buying the product. I power washed, scrubbed, acid etched and power washed 3 more times. Then I let it dry for 2 days, then vacuumed the whole garage before painting.
I had this option since I was moving into a new (for us) house and had nothing to take out of the garage. Looks great and holds up well to almost everything. Yes you can scratch it if you do something stupid. I use plastic jiffystand disks for the bikes.
I used the Rustoleum garage floor epoxy and am very pleased with the results. As others have said, prep is critical.
Mine has lasted for 6 years and it still looks great.
Thinking that was what the son used last summer also. Lowes carries it.
Did have some problems where his wife parks the Jeep on it.. even after they let it cure for a week or two.???
Paint wanted to stick to the tires..put some cheap tiles or something where
tires are when parked, Not sure if they still have the issue or not.
Rest of garage is fine. just the tire areas. We wondered if it was the tires being hot that caused it.
Thanks to you for sharing the pics of that bikes,In according to me Garage floor coating is an important issues for those people they have constructed their garage,I also have concrete garage floor stripping because they are reliable and malleable and ductile,Every body likes the floor stripping in the garage. In European countries it is common and every people can afford that expenses.

I used the Rustoleum Product available at Home Depot last summer. Grey. I have a 2 car garage, and they sell a "2 car garage kit" that includes etching chemical, the Paint, the activator, and maybe a DVD...They guy at HD - said Get two- Trust me...I kinda knew he'd be right...But I got one box for $109. I did proper prep. Prep is everything. That said, I kinda ran low 3/4 of the way thru, and managed an overall thin coat. It looks great on the edges of the garage and where I laid it down thick...However, after the winter etc...The car & truck tires kind of wore down/ stained into the thin sections, and you can tell it just wasnt thick enough, so it doesnt look great, and I am am going to add the '2nd coat' tomorrow! Hopefully this coat will make it all thick, even and shiny. I imagine had I bought the 2 coats last summer it would still look showroom shiny. Its a good product - its just that the 2 car kit doesnt really properly coat a 2 car garage. I tried to include a Pic...Which is what 1 coat looks like after a year...
I also have floor concrete coating in my home garage they makes my home neat and beautiful,In European countries the concrete floor coating is common due to its low cost.Garage is need for every home because you must stand any transport in it,You must used the concrete floor coating in their home garage because they have made the garage floor reliable and durable.
