Going against the grain here but why try to fake it? Man just ride and let miles and time take care of things.
Nothing smells more like and appears like bull$hit...kinda like folks trying to figure how to make jeans look old and used or how to make a vest look like it has been around the block (several times), or the fools who take sheet metal and age it using things like muriaitc acid and then claim to have found the barn fresh early production 36 knuckle.
Some things you cannot fake and you should not try...sorry bro
Do not mean to rain on your parade but you cannot "fake" old skool....JMHO
I just took a good look at your bike and noticed the rider pegs and floor boards. Kind of cool. Do you ever use the pegs?

The original pegs I extended in order to help my daughter reach the footpegs when she was old enough to ride (still have them...ruined a good set but my daughter was riding passenger at a very early age).
The set on there are used by my wife (together 27 and married for 18). There is a square pad that attaches to the luggage rack for her to sit on and the pegs are for her. She has never complained but was real happy when I updated to the 84.
Have a pic of her and I on the bike from around late 90-early 2000. Need to have her load it for me. We covered a lot of turf together on the pan...

Thanks, so those are the passengers pegs, by the position I Thought the were for the rider. They are a bit forward but I can see with a buddy seat how they would work. I really like the bike, looks mostly original. Haven't seen a Peace Flag for a long time, like since 73, cool vest, pass it down. My son has my old AMF leather, patched an all, hope it goes to my grandson.
