I appreciate the video as I'm sure amateur thieves will try the tips to steal a bike- remember the master lock/beer can video? It went viral.

I try to make it as hard as possible for someone to steal my bike- ignition lock, fork lock, NY Chain.

I also got it insured as a last measure if someone wants it bad enough.

My combo is three letters out of my name converted to numbers and since some letters are two digit, I only needed three.

Wouldn't it be easier to just bring the tire inside with you?

If you chain a bike down you chain the frame down.
They got some covers with alarms if you are close enough to hear it.

I will not leave mine outside unless I'm on a trip

Looks like the worst repo man ever. When the turn signal indicators were flashing, he actually set off the alarm. If the owner had hooked up a siren, you would have heard it. Hopefully he was just a little careless while shooting the video.

If your default code is not 11111, or 12345, it may be the last 5 digits of the selling dealers phone number.

When our local hog chapter goes on a dinner ride and we have a new member with us, one guy will go out and disable the security and move the bike. All the bikes are set up with the same code, unless you change it.

I knew a guy that was a lock smith. He showed me how easy a cylinder lock is to pick with the right tool. Took about two seconds. If you guys think a key lock of any kind will stop a thief you are mistaken.

This video was simply a reminder for you guys to take some extra steps to secure your bikes.

Just make sure you have full coverage. Worst case scenario, you'll get your money back if it's stolen.
