Default Ape Hangers Question

I have a 2006 Road King Classic with 12" Ape hangers that measure 12H x 10.5CW x 36W x 12PB. With my windshield on and the bars pressed as far forward as possible the bars are comfortable. However, if I take the windshield off, and push the bars forward the angle of my wrists are very uncomfortable. I am looking into taller bars but without sitting on bikes with different bars on them, I have no idea what combination of mesurements is typical for a person my height (5'9").

Thanx in advance

I would start with the same dimensions just taller. You never know though your wrists may like a different angle if you have higher bars.

Maybe you can find a cheap set of tall risers on craig's list slap em on and see if the extra height changes things for you.

I don't think someone at 5'9 will be the same as you in all situations. I am 6'4 but my upper body is a bit longer than most 6'4 guys. So even at same height things would be different.

Does that make sense? Probably not. Wait what were you asking about? Anyhow, yes I think that fender will be fine on your bike.

Although maybe with a different bike than what I have now.

I'm 5'10", these are 18's and my hands are just above my shoulders. Comfortable.
