Electrical issue

I have a 2009 CVO Ultra. Saturday I was putting my Garmin GPS on. I hooked it up to the lighter. Checked and everything was working fine. After I installed the fairing I lost 12 volt power to lighter and both toggle switches on right side of the dash.(Acc switch and power locks) Everything else still worked fine. Today went for a short ride and had no brake light tailight works fine but no brake light. All fuses are good. To me seems like two seperate issues but not sure. Anyone have any ideas?

So did you just plug it in to the lighter? There have been posts on here about the lighters being wired backwards. Check yours for polarity...not sure if it would cause the other problems.

No i wired it to the back of the lighter, also checked both wires. O?W was power BK was the ground

Sorry i turned my back and my wife had logged on LOL
No i wired it to the back of the lighter, also checked both wires. O?W was power BK was the ground
