Front end wobble.............

As I was slowing the other day I took my hands of my bars to adjust my helmet. As I slowed to around 25mph my front end wobbled. I'm riding a 2009 Crossbones (springer front end). At speed everything is good. After running my hand over the front tire I noticed it had alternating slight scalloping. This front tire has approx 26K miles on it and still has lots of tread. Is this normal and I just need to replace the tire or is there something else more serious going on?

That's how front tires wear....they don't generally wear down the tread like a back tire. Combined with the miles you have on that one, I'd say it's time....

Replace the tire, as the cupping you described will cause the wobble.

Half the bikes I get in here will wobble at one point or the other. The stem bearings need tightened. And buy a tire.

check for loose rear spokes...... if your bike has them.

Could be more serious (dangerous) like the fork bearing. Happened to me, darn near tossed me off the bike. I'd have it checked professionally.
