Default Crashed

On my way to visit family for Easter I was cruising along just fine along interstate 90/94 in WI. I had a car pass me to let me know my tire was going flat. ( rear tire bought new this winter) I slowed down to try and get off the interstate. When I got to the shoulder the bike went down. I had all my gear on full leathers, helmet, gloves. I thought I broke my arm, but I went to the hospital and I am just bruised up. My gear saved me from more serious injury. The car that motioned to me stopped and helped me. The guy was a rider and owns a motorcycle repair shop in Madison. Stay safe brothers and sisters. Bike might be totalled. I will find out on Wednesday. I just put $2000 worth of accessories this winter. I am sore and happy to be writing this. Stay safe.

Sorry to hear about this..How fast were you going when the bike went over to make you think it may be totaled?

Glad you are OK.

Just curious, I assume that the instability was the primary issue for going down, but were there any other environmental factors? Debris? Condition of shoulder?

Glad you're OK. A flat or blowout at highway speeds is one of my scariest nightmares.

Does there seem to be a lot of threads about blow outs/flats causing crahes lately? Is something new. this is my first Harley, 12 sg, and I never heard of so many blow outs with there tires. Just got me wondering.

I glad that you are okay and sorry to hear about your bike.

Glad you're ok. I had a scary flat about a month ago but luckily I was going pretty slow at the time so was able to get off the road safely. Hope you and the bike have a fast recovery.

Get that tire off your wreck & have it inspected by a tech. Try to determine if it was a faulty tire, too old or murphy's law of nails on the road!
Glad your doin' good!
Hatch.
