Are you looking for something simple and old school: Fulmer V2, Biltwell Hustler, Bell 500, Licks NovDot?
Do you prefer the modern look with integrated visor and blue tooth compatible like the HD Jet 2 or AGV etc?
I own the Fulmer V2 and a Biltwell. The fulmer runs small (I wear a 2X for them) and has a tighter more skulpted feel. It's a pain in the *** to put on and take off, like it is sucked to my head. the Biltwell (size LG) is nice with the chrome trim like the Bell 500, but also the padding muffles wind noise and exhaust roar. The padding also makes me think it might be too warm in mid Summer. Both have the same profile overall though.
Find one that fits first then check out the colors/designs it is avail in. Good helmets are not just size specific but specific to your head shape, some are going to fit better than others. Also look for some venting and a visor if you care about comfort. Shoei, Arai both make excellent helmets but are on the pricy side. HJC (makes HD brand helmets) and Scorpion are not bad at the mid price point.
Shoei RJ Platinum R, as seen in my sig pic. Quiet, comfy, and with channels for glasses. Visor fitted, and studs for a shield if you want. And the stickers come off easily.
