I have the La Rosa - it is sloppy and not the best quality (only upside it has is that due to the "sloppiness" I can stuff more chit in it if need be lol)
I have heard good about both Licks and HD
As for quick disconect - I could care less - I never take the bag off.
I don't care much for the gargantuan buckle on this and I'll bet the front and back ends of that flap will curl up in no time. Great construction seams though.
Have to say I like this one the best too, though it's a bit more $$...
Price-wise, though, the J&P (leatherworks) one may be a winner at $150...
That's what has kept me from ordering the Garageleathers bag. They make one that has two straps too. I do like the older looking buckle though, and think that it adds a bit of nostalgia.
For the Leatherworks, I think many people like that you can bump up to a 5" deep bag, whereas most others are only 3" deep. They do also make a 3" deep version too.
The Harley one is nice, but I suspect it's not made in the US, if that matters. Compared to the Leatherworks bag, I think you'd find the LW bag is better built.
Dr. Vtwin sells the Leatherworks bags. Both the 3" and 5" versions.
I have the La Rosa - it is sloppy and not the best quality ....snip
Yep - my bud has two - one on each side on his '48 Sporty - they look way to sloppy for my taste - one even sags so that it touches the exhaust cover. He had the bags and a hairpin seat and seat pan custom made by LaRosa. The seat is nice, and all the leather is top quality, but I can't stand the sag. I just want one for the left side of my Softail. But I think I'm leaning more toward a plain Leatherworks one.
I have the Leatherworks 5" (312XL) bag and I'm really glad I went with the 5". I think the price was like $165 shipped.. I wanted the simple look and they were very good about using this style of buckles. After a year the bag still looks great and with the heavy weight leather it is still holding it's shape like new..

Thanx!! That bag is perfect, you just convinced me to get this exact bag once I ditch the LaRosa. I love the buckles you chose - how well do they stay shut, and did you have to personaly ask for them or do they offer that stylel?
Who did you have it shipped from? Thnx in advance
